Eligibility Criteria For Telangana Model Schools
- The candidate must be a resident of Telangana state.
- Valid documents need to be provided.
Age criteria:
- Class VI: The candidate should have completed 10 years of age as of 31st August, 2024.
- Class VII: The candidate should have completed 11 years of age as of 31st August, 2024.
- Class VIII: The candidate should have completed 12 years of age as of 31st August, 2024.
- Class IX: The candidate should have completed 13 years of age as of 31st August, 2024.
- Class X: The candidate should have completed 14 years of age as of 31st August, 2024.
Income criteria:
- Family income should be less than 2 lakhs for urban areas and 1.5 lakhs for rural areas.
- Students should only apply in their respective districts.
Required Documents for TS Model Schools
For now, only personal details, address, basic study information, and soft copies of a passport-size photo and signature are required for the application process. However, the following below documents will be needed during counseling, so please ensure you gather all of the following information.

- Aadhaar card of student and parent/guardian.
- Caste certificate (if applicable).
- Income certificate (if applicable).
- Transfer certificate (for Class 7-10).
- Marks cards of previous classes (for Class 7-10).
How to Apply For Telangana Model Schools
Before starting, make sure to create soft copies of your photo and signature in the mentioned TSMS format. The application process for TSMS involves two steps: online payment and online application submission. Let’s go through each step.
Online Payment Process:
- Go to the official TS Model School portal.
- For 6th class admission, select the first option for online payment. For 7th-10th class admissions, choose the second option.
- Click on the online payment option for admission.
- A new page will open. Fill in your basic details correctly, such as the class you’re applying for, district, name, community, date of birth, mobile number, and other details.
- The fee amount varies depending on the community. For general applicants, it is 200 INR, and for other castes (SC, ST, etc.), it is 125 INR. Continue with the fee payment.
- After successful payment, a journal number receipt will be generated. Save it as it is needed for the next step.
Online Application Process:
- Copy your journal number and proceed to the online application submission.
- Visit the TSMS portal homepage and select the “Online Application” option.
- A new page will appear. Fill in your journal number, select the payment date, and enter your date of birth. Upload your passport-size photograph and signature in the mentioned format.
- Continue by filling in the second application form with personal, educational, and address details.
- In the “previous education” section, provide information about your last two years of study. Also, choose your preferred exam center.
- Proceed to the preview option, where a form displaying your entered details will appear. Confirm your information, edit if necessary, and click “Submit.”
- After submission, a download button for the application form will appear. Click to download.

Important Instructions to Students While Fillinq the Application Format:

- Have a passport-size photo ready for pasting on the Hall Ticket.
