Benefits of Karnataka Labour Card

The Karnataka Labour Card offers a wide range of benefits to registered workers, including:

• Healthcare:
  • Annual health insurance: Up to ₹2 lakh coverage for you and your dependents.
• Family Support:
  • Maternity benefits: ₹20,000 for male children and ₹30,000 for female children (up to 2 children).
  • Marriage assistance: ₹50,000 for workers or their children getting married.
• Education:
  • Annual education aid: Up to ₹20,000 for students in classes 1-10, and up to ₹40,000 for students in classes 11-graduation.
• Retirement & Protection:
  • Monthly pension: ₹1,000 for eligible employees aged 60+.
  • Accident benefits: Up to ₹5 lakh for death/permanent disability, and up to ₹2 lakh for partial disability.
  • Funeral expense reimbursement: ₹10,000.
• Housing:
  • Home assistance: Up to ₹2 lakh for construction/purchase, or up to ₹50,000 for repair/restoration.

Karnataka Labour Card Apply Process

Visit the Karnataka KBOCWWB portal.

• On the official website, you will find three options. Choose the first option, which is the KBOCWWB option.
• The Karnataka KBOCWWB page will open, providing details about KBOCWWB. Read the information and scroll down to find and click on the “Register as Construction Worker/Login” option.
• You will encounter two options: login and register. If you are already registered, proceed with login. For new registrations for a labour card, click on the register option.
• Enter your mobile number and OTP.
• Once logged in, you will reach the labor login dashboard. For new registrations, click on the registration option.

• The main application form will open, consisting of five sections:
  • a. Personal Details: Before entering personal details, complete Aadhaar verification by clicking on the “Verify” option. After verification, some details will be fetched automatically based on Aadhaar. You can also change the photo (optional). Enter other details such as email ID, PAN, marital status, date of birth, category, etc. Click on “Save and Continue.”
  • b. Address: Enter both your communication and permanent addresses. Continue to the next section.
  • c. Family Details: Provide details about your ration card type and upload the ration card as a document in JPG format. Enter family member details one by one and use the “Add More” option to include additional members. Save the information and proceed.
  • d. Bank Details: Fill in your bank account details accurately. Continue to the next section.
  • e. Details of 90 Days Work Certificate & Employer/Owner Details: Select employer/owner details, including name, workplace, company, mobile number, location, and additional details if you’ve worked in different places. Use the “Add More” option if needed. Save and continue.
• After completing the form, a preview page will appear. Review the details, scroll down, and click on “Final Submit.“

• An acknowledgment slip will be generated. Download and save it.

The Karnataka labor department will verify and approve the application. Regularly check the status of your application.

Karnataka Labour Card Application Status Check Process

If you have completed the online application for a labor card and want to check its status, follow these steps:

• Visit the official website of KBOCWWB Karnataka.
• On the website, the first option will be visible. Select the first option.
• On the new page, at the top, you can find the ‘Click here to view education assistance status‘ option. Click on it.

• A popup will open. Enter your acknowledgment number and click on check.
• The status will be displayed on the screen.
• If your ID shows as updated, it means your labor card is approved. To download it, visit your concerned labor inspector office with the proper documents. They will verify and provide you with the Karnataka labor card.

Karnataka Labour Card Download Process

If your Karnataka labor card is approved and you want to download it online, follow these steps:

• Visit the Karnataka KBOCWWB portal.
• Click on the first KBOCWWB option.
• On the new page, select the “Register” option, enter your mobile number, and verify it.
• After verification, you will reach a new page where you can see the “E-Card Download” option. Click on it.
• A new popup will open. Enter your application acknowledgment number and click on “Download.”
• The preview of the labor card will display. Click on the download icon to download the card.
• A PDF file will be downloaded to your device. Print and use it.
• This is your official Karnataka government-issued labor card.
