Janani Suraksha yojana Eligibility

  • Pregnant women must be 19 years old or older.
  • Pregnant women must come under the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category.
  • Women belonging to the BPL/Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) categories are eligible.
  • Pregnant women must give birth in government hospitals or selected private hospitals.

JSY Scheme can be applied through online or offline, follow below process to apply JSY Scheme Online:

  • Visit the JSY online registration portal.
  • Fill out the application form with your details:
    • Applicant name, Age, Date of birth, Husband’s name
    • Aadhaar number
    • Present address
    • Hospital details

  • Review your application and choose your preferred method:
    • Continue online
    • Download application form for offline submission
  • If applying online:
    • Click “Apply for Service.”
    • Concerned authorities or ASHA workers will verify your application.
    • Upon successful verification, you will receive a JSY card via post.
  • If applying offline:
    • Print the downloaded application form.
    • Submit the completed form and all required documents to the nearest ASHA center or Anganwadi center.
    • After verification, you will receive a JSY card or stamped form.
  • For rural and urban pregnant women:
  • Delivery at public or accredited private hospital:
    • Rural: Rs. 1,400 cash assistance
    • Urban: Rs. 1,000 cash assistance
  • Delivery at home:
    • Below Poverty Line (BPL) mothers: Rs. 500 cash assistance (up to 2 deliveries)
  • Payment is directly transferred to your bank account.
  • JSY card and Maternal and Child Health (MCH) card are mandatory.
  • ASHA workers will create a micro-birth plan.
  • Emergency obstetric services are free at government health centers.
  • Up to Rs. 1,500 cash assistance for hiring private specialists if needed.
