Telangana Learning Licence

Learner’s License (LLR) is a document issued by the Regional Transport Office (RTO) to authorize a person to learn how to drive a motor vehicle under the supervision of a licensed driver. It is valid for six months and can be renewed once. Once you have an LLR, you can practice driving on public roads under the supervision of a licensed driver.

Eligibility Criteria for Learning Licence in Telangana

• Be at least 18 years old for a light motor vehicle (LMV) learning licence and
• 20 years old for a transport vehicle (TV) learning licence.
• Be able to read and write in basic English or Telugu.
• Be physically and mentally fit to drive a vehicle.

Telangana Learning Licence Apply Process | Slot Booking

Applying for a learning license in Telangana is a completely online process. It is the first important document required to obtain a permanent driving license. A learning license is valid for six months in Telangana. If you think you can apply for a permanent license immediately after getting a learning license, you are mistaken. You must wait at least one month after obtaining a learning license to apply for a permanent driving license.

Apply Process (LLR Apply)

• First Visit Portal of RTO Telangana.
• This is the Official Portal of the Telangana Transport Department. You will see lots of options here, click on the option called ‘ For Online Services and Payments Click Here ‘, on the right side of the Home page.

• Here you can see all the Telangana Transport Department Services and Payments options. Now Select the New Learning Licence option, and next page read the instructions about COVID-19, check the declaration and continue to the main application page.

• This is the main application page, Select your district, Test Center, enter a valid mobile number and click on the request for OTP option, Finally, enter your OTP and Captcha and continue to Booking LLR Slot.

• You can now view the slot calendar. Red indicates that the day is full, and green indicates that slots are available. Select your desired date, and after selecting the date, you can see the available time slots. Select a time and continue.

• Fill in your details, including your name, surname, father’s name, mother’s name, nationality, qualification, identification marks, local address, and permanent address. At the bottom, select your class of vehicle category and class of vehicle type. If you are applying for a learning license for multiple vehicles, click on the option “Click here for class vehicle” and add your other vehicle type.

• Now you will be redirected to the Payment page, you have 2 options: 1. Pay later within 24 hours 2. Pay Now

• Select your desired option and after you get the Application Number Save it.
• Now your application for a learning licence in the Telangana Process is done.

What to do after application process

After you have submitted your application for a learning licence in telangana you will need to visit the Selected RTO office at the selected date and time. They will conduct a CBU( Computer Based Test). The test is a computer-based test that consists of 20 questions on basic traffic rules and road signs. You must score at least 12 marks to pass the test.

If you pass the test, you will be issued a learning licence which is valid for a period of six months. During this period, you can learn to drive a vehicle under the supervision of a licensed driver.
